This is a special class where we will be preparing for a performance. I will help students find their special talents and showcase them in a performance. This will be a truly belly dance fusion performance we will be using lots of  ATS and some Tribal fusion and Bollywood/Indian dance.

There will be a class taught by Tejas for Indian Bollywood dance to be included in the performance.

Fees

  • $10 per class
    $15 for both classes

Class description:

Level 1

  • We will do a warm up/stretch.
  • Break down the basic American Tribal Style (ATS) movements and learn how to put them together.
  • We will learn how to dance in a stagger formation, chorus, duets and trios.
  • Basic zill work will included as well.

What to wear:

  • Comfortable exercise clothes
  • Preferred: Long skirt, pantaloons, hip scarf, zills, and socks

Level 2

  • We will be doing a more intense warm up to build strength and stamina required for performances.
  • We will briefly review ATS moves to refine them. Then break into formations to experience dancing them.
  • There will be a portion of class dedicated to drum solos every week.
  • We will also work on some Tribal Fusion choreography and as always performance technique.

What to wear:

  • Long skirt or pants you can move in (pantaloons, Melodia, or spinning skirt), shoes or socks you can spin in, zills, hip scarf. Jewelry and costume is always encouraged to practice dancing in class before a performance.
